Jonathan Wilkins, born in England, spent his childhood in British Guiana where his father produced Demerara sugar. Educated at "public School", Worth Abbey, in Sussex, where he was one of the founders of their photographic society. In 1970 he returned to Guyana when he was invited to be on the BBC Expedition, Climb to the Lost World, where he produced memorable images of the indigenous Akawaio tribes and the region; images now on permanent archive at The Royal Geographical Society in London. At 21, Jonathan got his first Nikon F2 camera that was to become the mother of all the others, from Hasselblad to 4"X5" view cameras, right up to high quality digital today, including Post Production Digital Image manipulation in Photoshop. With a degree in Geography he ventured to Brazil in 1977 where he taught English as a Foreign language and later took up professional photography full time. His vast experience includes corporate portraits for clients like PWC,  Agro Industry in the State of São Paulo, commercial and advertising work for many agencies, catalogs, Fine Art Black & White exhibitions on Giclée Prints, head shots of elected politicians and famous television stars, boudoir portfolios, opera singers and beautiful models of all ages, from zero to a hundred, and presently certified contributor of stock photography for Science Source and Pond5. Jonathan is readily available for assignments internationally.
